Home is where the work begins
A man wanted to be a missionary, when the time came he was sent to the church thanking God for his desire, waiting anxiously for God to send him.
The time came, but to go he would need to go in a plane and to his surprised the way to get there it was by jumping out in a parachute. Yes! You read right a PARACHUTE! But he didn’t care he only new he finally was a missionary!!!
He got on the plane and the pilot said when you see the green light you need to jump. Okay great! The missionary replied, “I’ll jump! So he notices they flew over several nations, countries, and as he flew over a few he kept saying HERE?
Here?! No the pilot reply, only when you see the GREEN LIGHT!
Paris? No, no green light!
Egypt, yes! No, no green light!
Oh there it is Australia! No???No Green light!
OMG! Jamaica??? No? No green light!.
As the plane kept flying, the new missionary kept waiting for that green light to jump. Then it happened,
THE GREEN LIGHT! He jumps full of excitement, thanking God for the honor of been a missionary willing to do God’s work.
Well he jumped and landed on a roof top. Struggling to take the parachute off himself and sees where he landed,.
He looked around and it looks familiar he said, He landed on his neighbor’s house!
The lesson of this story to me is this, if I want to do good for others, then the need starts with my neighbor, with my family, with my city, learn to do this home then you will be an expert by the time you go somewhere else.
Galatians 6:9 says: So let us not become tired of doing good; for if we do not give up, the time will come when we will reap the harvest.
Also says: “And he said unto them, Go ye into the entire world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.” Matthew 16:15
The message is simple:
GOD LOVES YOU AND GAVE HIS ONLY SON JESUS TO SAVE YOU AND FORGAVE YOU.
HIS LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL.
