Trial Underway in Horse Abuse Case

The couple charged with mistreating their horses, leading to deaths, is on trial this week.

Dozens of animals were removed from David and Paula White’s Hidden Lake Stables in Pleasant Prairie in April 2013, after police received a tip that animals were being kept in horrendous conditions.

A witness testified that horses were eating wood and digging up roots in bare pastures for sustenance.
