Teen held on bond after third felony charge in 12 months

A 17-year-old out on bond for one felony and on a deferred prosecution agreement for another was taken into custody Wednesday for a third.

Christopher Carstens appeared in court for a bond hearing Wednesday on a charge of armed robbery, substantial battery and felony bail jumping.

Carstens, neatly dressed in a suit, came to court with a private attorney in a voluntary appearance.

The state asked for $7,500 bond, and Carstens’ attorney Robert Keller asked his client remain out of custody until his father could post that amount later in the afternoon.
