Prosecutors have charged a Racine man in a fatal hit-and-run on Christmas night.
Thirty-one-year-old Bradley Hayek faces one count of hit-and-run involving death, one count of homicide by intoxicated use of a vehicle and one count of bail jumping, all felonies. Prosecutors filed the counts on Monday.
Racine police say they were called to a hit-and-run Thursday and found 45-year-old Robert Castaneda lying in the road. He later died at a nearby hospital. Officers arrested Hayek a few blocks away. Court records indicate he is awaiting sentencing on a prior drug conviction.
