Andrew Lee Jones Jr. died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to Racine County Medical Examiner Michael Payne. Racine police arrived at the Allegro Apartments, 522 Three Mile Road, where Jones was pronounced dead at the scene.

Jacob W. Rogers of Racine, was charged with first-degree intentional homicide and had a warrant issued for his arrest. The former Kenosha resident is believed to be traveling with his girlfriend, Katelyn A. McGraw, 22, of Kenosha.

Rogers is considered armed and dangerous.

According to a criminal complaint, footage from surveillance cameras in the apartment shows Rogers firing a semi-automatic handgun into the area where Jones was found on a couch. The complaint states Rogers is seen firing off several rounds, walking away, then turning around to fire several more rounds into the victim.

Rogers was a roommate of Jones and quickly named as a “strong suspect” in the shooting, police said.

According to Jones’ Facebook page, he was a Chicago native and attended Gateway Technical College. His autopsy was conducted Tuesday.
