Local Man Charged in Fatal Crash

An 18-year-old Kenosha man was charged with homicide by intoxicated use of a motor vehicle after authorities said they discovered marijuana inside and outside his pickup truck following a crash with two motorcycles.

Jordan Winters made his initial court appearance on Wednesday. A $10,000 cash bond was set by Kenosha County Court Commissioner David Berman.

The accident occurred about 7:30 p.m. Monday in the 6800 block of 39th Avenue. Winters was southbound on 39th Avenue and attempted to turn left onto 68th Street into the path of two oncoming motorcycles, according to the criminal complaint.

Shawn Delaney, 34, of Bristol struck the pickup truck head-on and died at Kenosha Medical Center. Kevin Daugherty, 36, of Racine was hospitalized with minor injuries.
