La Casa de Esperanza Charter School Selects Interim Principal
WAUKESHA —La Casa de Esperanza, Inc. selects Interim Principal to lead the La Casa de Esperanza Charter School.
Anselmo Villarreal, La Casa’s President and CEO stated, “We are very excited to announce that Ms. Kristy Casey, who was acting as Chairperson for the La Casa de Esperanza Charter School Board, has accepted the role of Interim Principal for the La Casa de Esperanza Charter School.”
Kristy Casey has a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education and History from Elmhurst College in Illinois, a master’s degree in Educational Leadership with Emphasis on Charter School Administration from Louis University, and has the following certifications:
Type #10: Director of Curriculum
Type #512: Principal and Assistant/Associate Principal
Type #80: Director of Special Education/Director of Pupil Services
Kristy has seven years’ experience teaching elementary school and was a founding member of the Wauwatosa STEM Charter School which is the highest performing charter school in Wisconsin as measured by the State of Wisconsin Report Card.
Her most current professional role is as Executive Director of the Coalition for Wisconsin Charter Schools, a collaboration of organizations that support the growth of high-quality public charter schools in Wisconsin.
Kristy will be leading the school beginning Monday, August 31. Ms. Kasey has also expressed interest in applying for the position on a permanent basis. The position is being posted today and will be open for two weeks prior to convening a selection committee.

The La Casa de Esperanza Charter School is a full-service, independent charter school that was established to address the academic achievement gap faced by low income students and children of color. The school utilizes all available resources of the La Casa community center to enhance and strengthen the academic mission.
