KENOSHA, Wis. (Monday, September 8, 2014) – The Kenosha Unified School District (KUSD) Department of Fine Arts is seeking fifth grade students interested in enrolling in the district’s instrumental music program.
Beginning level band and orchestra instruction offered through KUSD is scheduled to begin September 30. Students interested in band should attend one of the informational meetings with their parents: Tuesday, September 9 or Wednesday, September 10 at 7 p.m. in the Reuther auditorium. Students will have the opportunity to see instruments performed and to sign up for a placement session to assist in selection of their own instrument.
Placement appointments will be held at the following schools:
• Thursday, September 11, at Bullen Middle School, 2804 – 39th Avenue
• Friday, September 12, at Lincoln Middle School, 6729 – 18th Avenue
• Tuesday, September 16, at Lance Middle School, 4515 – 80th Street.
Students interested in orchestra should attend the following informational meeting with their parents: Thursday, September 19 at 7 p.m. in the Reuther auditorium.
