Kenosha Second Biggest Property Value Rise of Wisconsin Cities

The Wisconsin Taxpayers Alliance says property values statewide have risen for a second year.

Of the state’s 20 largest cities, Beloit had the largest growth at 5.9 percent followed by Kenosha at 5.2 percent. The next highest were Eau Claire at 4.5 percent followed by Madison at 4.3 percent and La Crosse at 3.6 percent.

The report released Wednesday shows values of all taxable property increased 2.4 percent in 2015. Values went up 2.6 percent in 2014 after five years of decline.

The Taxpayers Alliance says the total value of property at just under $491 billion is still about $25 billion below the 2008 peak.
