Two men were charged Wednesday for allegedly drunkenly firing guns outside a home.
Kenosha Police were called to the area around the 1800 block of 53rd Street for a report of shots being fired at about 2 a.m. Monday. An officer who responded to the call arrived to hear gunshots and to see three people run into a house on 53rd Street. Numerous spent shells were found outside the house.
When no one would answer the door to the house, police broke down the door. They found a 22-year-old Waukegan, Ill., man, an 18-year-old Kenosha man and a 19-year-old Racine woman inside. All three were arrested. A fourth woman, the grandparent of the 18-year-old, was also inside. She said she was not aware of the gunshots and gave police permission to search the house. They found two handguns and ammunition.
