Franklin, WI – Following the review of numerous false and inflammatory statements made by U.S. Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia’s 14th Congressional District, Forward Latino and its membership across 29 states, calls for the resignation of Taylor Greene. Darryl Morin, National President of Forward Latino issued the following statement: “In the wake of the deadly insurrection on the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, and after reviewing the well documented comments and actions of Representative Taylor Greene, it is abundantly clear that Ms. Taylor Greene is not fit to serve as member of the United States Congress. From her previous endorsements of violence against her now fellow members of Congress, to the knowingly false conspiracy theories she promoted surrounding some of our nation’s most horrific and tragic acts of hate and violence, Forward Latino calls for U.S. Representative Tylor Greene to resign immediately. Should she refuse act in the best interest of Georgia’s 14th congressional district, the state of Georgia and the United States of America, she should be censured and stripped of all committee assignments by congressional leadership. While our nation is in need of vigorous debate and action on a great number of issues, debate must be based on facts, exercised with mutual respect and not be driven by those who would seek the violent end of their fellow members of the U.S. Congress.”
