Kenosha – The Wisconsin Medical Examining Board suspended former County Board member and physician Dr. Angelina Montemurro’s license to practice medicine and surgery.

Montemurro was a longtime family practice doctor with United Hospital System were she was suspended and fired.

Kenosha News reports that “hospital officials alleged they were concerned with ‘potential issues with mental stability.'”

Montemurro sued United Hospital after she was terminated.

The Medical Examining Board alleged that after Montemurro claimed to be “a victim of a vast organized crime conspiracy that has so far resulted in the loss of her job and medical practice, the suspicious deaths of people who are somehow related to her fight against corruption, and a wide array of graft by which millions of dollars have been embezzled”, concerns that she is “suffering from an undiagnosed and thus untreated mental health condition that was not identified” forced the board to act.

All lawsuits filed by Montemurro have been dismissed.

After refusing to comply with the board’s ordered second exam, the board decided that her license to practice be suspended due to Montemurro’s “refusal to follow the board’s orders, orders which were intended for the purpose of determining whether (she) may safely and reliably practice medicine and surgery.”

Montemurro could be reinstated if she complies with the board’s orders, exams, education and training recommended by a competence evaluator.

Montemurro served as a Kenosha County Board supervisor from 2012 to 2014.
