Lawmakers who review and approve Wisconsin’s biennial budgets visited Milwaukee Area Technical College’s state-of-the-art labs and classrooms in MATC’s Center for Energy Conservation and Advanced Manufacturing (ECAM) at the Oak Creek Campus. Highlights included the computer numerical control (CNC) programs; and the heating, ventilation and air conditioning programs (HVAC). The MATC programs are helping connect students to in-demand careers and meet the needs of the region’s employers. The visit took place prior to one of the committee’s budget hearings, that took place at the nearby Oak Creek Community Center.
