Carthage presentation explores LGBT rights, religious liberty

The issue of the rights of lesbian, bisexual, gay and transgender individuals and religious liberty was the focus of presentations by a duo of Carthage College professors and the campus pastor Wednesday.

The presentation, which was open to the public, explored a number of cases including recent laws passed to promote expansion of religious freedom. It also focused on the public’s greater acceptance of people of diverse gender orientation and same-sex marriage.
