As the Aug. 14 primary election sits on the horizon, Democratic candidates Cathy Myers and Randy Bryce fought — though rather peacefully — for votes in the local community Wednesday night.

During a forum Wednesday at UAW Local 72 headquarters, Bryce and Myers, who have spent the last year campaigning for Paul Ryan’s 1st Congressional District seat, answered questions on various issues, including foreign affairs, race equality and LGBTQ community protections.

While the two are in agreement on many of the major issues, the subtle differences in their approaches were apparent during the forum, hosted by Forward Kenosha and the Kenosha County Democratic Party, stemming from their different backgrounds.
