Somers Man in Custody Following Fire

A 59-year-old Somers man is in custody for domestic violence and a probation violation after authorities responded to a mobile home fire at 1870 Sheridan Road on Monday.

Donald Nietupski could face additional charges stemming from the blaze. Nietupski told his live-in girlfriend he was going to burn down his mobile home the night before emergency crews responded to battle a blaze at the unit, according to the Kenosha Sheriff’s Department.

Nietupski was treated for burns and smoke inhalation at Kenosha Medical Center and transported to Kenosha County Jail.
