Salvation Army Chaplains, Milwaukee Police Department District 4 . Salvation Army Chaplains are sponsoring a police appreciation event, alongside partners from the District 4 faith-based initiative, to provide meals for Milwaukee police officers on the heels of National Police Week (May 12-18). It is their way of saying ‘thank you’ to the officers for their hard work, service, and sacrifice in the community. The Chaplaincy Program is a partnership between The Salvation Army Milwaukee County and the Milwaukee Police Department. The chaplains are called to critical incidents when police determine emotional and spiritual care is needed, including homicides, drug overdoses, house fires, fatal accidents, and suicides.
