The Milwaukee Air and Water Show returned this weekend after being canceled last year due to scheduling conflicts.
Thousands of people packed Milwaukee’s lakefront to see the return of the Milwaukee Air and Water Show star attraction the Blue Angels performing over Lake Michigan.
The air and water returned this year with a new title sponsor – WaterStone Bank al – because of financial issues last year.
The event is one of Wisconsin’s largest events and provides a significant tourism impact to Milwaukee’s economy. Many in attendance were very pleased with the show.
Most who attended were there to see the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels perform.
The other star of the show was “Fat Albert,” a U.S. Marine Corps Lockheed C-130T Hercules, which travels with the Blue Angels.
The U.S. Marine Corps Lockheed C-130T Hercules is a military transport plane crewed by Marines and is used to transport parts and people.
The C-130t can carry about 40,000 pounds of cargo. The aircraft can seat 43 passengers.
