MILWAUKEE – On Thursday May 16, on “College Assembly Day,” each Class of 2019 graduating senior from Carmen South and Carmen Northwest announced his / her college choice. Collectively, these students have earned more than $14 million in scholarships from nearly 100 different colleges and universities across the nation, including several HBCUs.

Valeria Navarro, an investigator at Mastantuono & Coffee S.C., was the keynote speaker at the South campus and Drew Franklin, Senior Director of Player Development for the Milwaukee Bucks, spoke at the Northwest Campus. The class valedictorian and salutatorian also was announced at both campuses. 

Carmen was recently ranked second as a top high school in the Milwaukee area and in the state of Wisconsin by the U.S. News & World Report. Schools are chosen based on several factors such as college readiness, reading and math proficiency and performance, underserved student performance, college curriculum breadth and graduation rates.
