MILWAUKEE – Brewers Community Foundation (BCF) awarded 22 local students with scholarships this season through the Allan H. Selig, Players/Coaches and Miller Park Community scholarship programs. More than $100,000 will be donated to this year’s recipients of the scholarship programs, which has awarded more than 225 scholarships for college education through BCF since 2003. “Brewers Community Foundation is proud to continue our annual support of local students and their pursuit of higher education,” said Brewers Community Foundation Executive Director Cecelia Gore. “Our 2019 scholars are poised to be future leaders in our community and we are excited to play a role in their continued success.” Recipients of the Allan H. Selig scholarship are graduating seniors from a Wisconsin high school class of 2019 who have been accepted to a Wisconsin college or university. Students receiving the Player/Coaches and Miller Park Community scholarships are planning to or currently attend a Wisconsin college or university. Scholarship amounts range from $1,000 to $2,500 per year. This season, the seven recipients of the Allan H. Selig scholarship will receive a total of $10,000 over the next four years while the other 15 recipients will receive a one-time amount of $2,500.
