Free labor will be available this spring and summer to repair homes and buildings damaged by last summer’s flooding.

Three disaster response teams from the United Methodist Church Wisconsin Conference will mobilize in April and July, said Lynnette Jordan, assistant response coordinator for the group.

“They are a pretty handy group,” Jordan said, adding many are retired contractors.

The teams will include insured, skilled laborers who will provide free manpower to help complete repairs to homes, including carpentry, roofing, drywall and painting.

The June team will be made up of about 10 youths and a handful of adults who will be able to help with less complex repairs.
