GREENFIELD – The driver of a car that was shot at early Wednesday morning in Greenfield has died, according to Police Chief Brad Wentlandt.
Greenfield police are looking for the person or people who opened fire on the car on 27th Street near the Interstate 43/894 interchange.The 26-year-old Palmyra man was shot in the head and died Wednesday afternoon at Froedtert Hospital.
Wentlandt said they believe the victim and the gunman knew each other and that this was not a random shooting.
The victim’s name is not being released until relatives are notified.
