MILWAUKEE, Wis. – Black Arts Fest mke recognizes the importance of food donations to stop Milwaukee families from going hungry. Black Arts Fest mke is proud to be part of FESTS FEED MKE, a promotion benefiting Hunger Task Force. On Saturday, August 3, those heading to the festival and arriving between noon and 2:00pm can get in FREE by bringing three (3) cans of peaches or pears in 100% natural juice. The Hunger Task Force will have their big blue truck on-site for food collection. People with cans simply bring their donation to the volunteers in exchange for an admission ticket. Then, head toward the gates and into the festival for a great day! If you already have your ticket but would like to donate cans, feel free to drop them off. Every donation is appreciated and put to good use. Prior to donating, it is requested and appreciated that people check the expiration dates on their cans.
