A Kenosha family reported a home invasion, assault and burglary early Tuesday.
A couple, a 31-year-old man and 30-year-old woman, told Kenosha Police they were asleep in their home in the 7900 block of 19th Avenue just after midnight Tuesday when they woke up to the sound of someone talking in their bedroom.
They said they heard a man’s voice saying something like “where is it, where is it?” but could not see who was speaking because the room was dark. The man said whoever it was struck him in the head with something, possibly a handgun, and the woman said she was so startled she fell out of bed. The invader then fled the room, taking a cell phone and an iPad. The man’s glasses were also smashed on the floor.
