A former Kenosha Unified School District principal accused of misconduct in public office is facing additional charges, now accused of using a school credit card for personal expenses.

Cherise Easley, former principal of the Edward Bain School of Language and Arts-Creative Arts, received three additional counts of felony misconduct.

Easley was initially charged in January for allegedly taking equipment from EBSOLA for her church and for the day care operated from her home.

New charges allege that Easley used a district credit card to pay for personal expenses.

Easley was initially charged in January with misconduct in public office. She allegedly took more than $1,000 worth of items from the school between June 2015 and October 2017 for her church, Milwaukee-based Urban Praise Ministries.

The district placed Easley on administrative leave from her $110,232 job in October after seeking a police investigation into her use of district property. After KUSD administration stated they planned to fire Easley, she resigned effective Feb. 28.
