COMMUNITY LEADERS TO DEMAND CLOSURE OF INHUMANE CHILD DETENTION CENTERS

Milwaukee – Community leaders including civil rights advocates, faith leaders and
concerned citizens will come together in Milwaukee as part of a the “Close The Camps”
National Day of Action to demand an end to the inhumane conditions in which child and
adult refugees are being detained. In Wisconsin “Close The Camp” protests will be held
in Milwaukee, Green Bay, Oshkosh and Waukesha. In total, over 185 “Close the Camp”
protests will occur today all over the United States. Collectively the nation will come
together to say, “No More!”
