The Duo opened the concert at Wisconsin State Fair Tuesday night which consist of a blend of rock, country and folk music.  Performing to a sold-out crowd as the opening act Michael and Carissa Alvarado sang to a mix of original songs and cover tunes.  The show ended with a beautiful original song which they wrote for their wedding vows that energized the crowd.

On the review on the Zero Nose Bleeds concerts page, they eloquently describe how, Pentatonix took the stage as the main headliner at the Wisconsin State Fair to a standing ovation and deafening applause to a sold out crowd.  The fans included new and old generation of Baby Boomers, Gen X’ers, Millennials and Centennials.

Pentatonix is a five-member acappella group from Arlington, Texas which consists of Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Kirstin Maldonado, Avi Kaplan, and Kevin Olusola.

Pentatonix performed covers for many different songs but the tribute to Michael Jackson was a beautiful and memorable rendition to the King of Pop. The harmony was amazing. They invited a few fans on stage to sing the song “Misbehavin” with them while sitting on bean-bag couch taking fan selfies.

Kevin, the beatboxer, performed a classical cello piece with a twist.  Beatboxing to Bach’s “Cello Suite no. 1 Prelude. The crowd was really excited.  The cover of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” brought the crowd to their feet, both young and old.

The music united the entire stadium.  As the night grew dark, the group brought the audiences to wonderful height which was evidenced by the cell phone lights shining like stars in the night sky.
