WISCONSIN NUTRITION EDUCATION PROGRAM (WNEP)

WNEP is a major effort within the Cooperative Extension program area of Family Living Programs. Family Living Programs enhances the quality of family and community decisions that increase abilities of families to adapt to change. Family Living Programs provides program direction and leadership for WNEP, which is comprised of two federally-funded nutrition education programs for low-income residents of Wisconsin. SNAP-Ed, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education and EFNEP, the Expanded Food and Nutrition Education Program ensure compliance with affirmative action equal employment opportunity and civil rights laws, regulations and policies. They also provide overall leadership and direction for policy development, program planning, implementation, budget development, evaluation and reporting of the WNEP program. Social Worker (English/Spanish)
Waukesha County Department of Health and Human Services is looking for a bilingual Social Worker to work in the Access II Unit. The Access Unit is responsible for information and referral services as well as assessments in the areas of child abuse/neglect, requests for out of home placement, parent/teen conflicts, and fulfillment of various court intake functions. Access staff serves as the initial assessors of a broad variety of referrals from the community. These referrals can be by telephone, written requests/reports or “walk-ins”. The staff needs to gather accurate and necessary information to properly assess these calls and to determine the appropriate agency response.

Requirements: Bachelor’s degree plus certification or eligibility for State of Wisconsin Social Worker Certification. Social Worker Certification must be obtained within 6 months of employment. Ability to read, write and speak Spanish fluently. Must be fluent in Spanish and culturally sensitive and competent in working with Latino families.
Salary: $49,899 – $65,998 per year with excellent benefits.
Waukesha County has a population of 390,730 and is located in the Southeast corner of Wisconsin, next to the Milwaukee Metropolitan area, two hours northwest of Chicago, 30 minutes from downtown Milwaukee and approximately one hour from Madison.

Take a scholarly approach in organizing community resources in support of the inclusive positive development of youth, especially in the areas of leadership and civic engagement.
Provide educational support for the 4-H Community Club and 4-H afterschool programs. Focus on volunteer development, expanding outreach to new audiences and community coordination around positive youth development programs. Build and maintain relationships with the Hispanic/Latino community and agencies who work with youth in Trempealeau County. The Southeastern Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (SEWRPC), the regional planning agency for the seven county greater Milwaukee Area has an immediate opening for a Land Survey Assistant. The successful candidate will assist land surveyors in the recovery, perpetuation, monumenting and referencing of U.S. Public Land Survey corners and other related surveying activities.
Responsibilities would also include preparing maps and drawings from survey field data. Proficient in CADD based software is preferred along with an interest in GIS and remote sensing technologies. An understanding of geospatial concepts and GPS surveying is desired.
Requires a High School Diploma and one year of land surveying or related experience or an Associate Degree from an accredited college. Possess knowledge of land surveying, including equipment, practices, and procedures. A valid driver’s license is required.
